DCR News Update
This week, Sensei took the decision to make Javier, Matts and Diego
official disciples; they will be Sempai from next week on! It is worth
noting that Javier and Matts are already black belts in other styles.
Diego has been forged, thus far, according to the rules of Daruma Colina
Roja as a promising, high-level, technical karateka and pure Okinawa
Goju Ryu practitioner! Javier and Matts will be his protectors from now
on as they all continue their Martial Arts journeys closely together!
Diego is also proving to be a good teacher to the younger students at
our club, giving Sensei Jose immense amounts of hope for him to some day
become a master! At this point, preparation for his black belt grading
has begun and is planned for 2021.
DCR has adapted well to the measures required to be in place in order to help stop the spread of coronavirus and Sensei would like to thank the students and parents for their cooperation in this matter. Whilst these times can be frustrating, we are fortunate that we are able to continue with worthwhile training sessions as a group under our Sensei. "Time spent in preparation is seldom wasted" goes the saying and whilst we do have some restrictions in place for the health of our members, no time spent studying our style together is wasted and we continue forward, always!
With the renewed sense of positive attitude at our club and the high-level of practitioners amongst us, the future of the young ones at DCR is particularly bright!
